Yes it's true, I FINALLY did something manly in the house. I replaced our white range hood with a sleek and sexy stainless steel one. Why you may ask? Was it so that the house would look more put together when we sell? Maybe... Was it to avoid doing other work? Possibly....but more importantly, it was to prove I could do it, and I got to play with my new drill set too.
Today was a wonderful day. I don't know how else to explain it. We finished our decor appointments and everything is settled with the house (except you know, getting it built). To celebrate Jackie and I treated ourselves to dinner at Milestones (while trying to stay conscious of what we ate), and had probably one of the best conversations we've had in a long time.
It's a late one tonight. Went into the big city to meet up with some Laurier friends I haven't seen in a long time. Was amazing to catch up and reminisce. We are all so old now. Hopefully it won't be this long before we all see each other again.
Every year I fall into the same pattern. Cheer for the Leafs. Get excited for the Leafs. Get disappointed by the Leafs. Keep a faint hope alive by the Leafs only to have it washed away. Have them show signs of life and pick up my spirits that maybe I'm wrong about the team. Tonight was no different.
So this week will be hectic. Sales meetings today and tomorrow, and a Leaf game to attend after another meeting on Thursday. But I'm trying to at least update with a picture a day
Gotta enjoy being sick huh? Jackie and I have both been ill this week, so this weekend is all about RnR to get better. Blondie is being a good sport and actually behaving fairly normal tonight.
Jackie and I are moving, I can't recall if I mentioned it before or not. As construction starts, I'm sure there will be pictures here. Until then, I leave you with the layout of our house, as I once drew up, about 2 years ago.
How do you post a blog a day when you don't really have a clue what to write about?
At least for me, I post a picture I like! But seriously, for the 6 readers of the blog, any ideas on ideas you want me to write about? Feel free to share.
I'm in Ottawa for the weekend. Came to visit my friends Eric and Lana. Tomorrow we are going to visit parliament and it will be a fun opportunity to play with the Nikon. Tonight is rest and relaxation, and of course SportsCentre and Movies!
Some fun facts about Eric and Lana after the break:
I want you to learn from your cousin Maurice. He is well-behaved. He is not a hyper ball of energy when awake (though I admit you are a puppy, so you have a 2 year grace period). He is TRAINED. You are so close to being trained, but every time you have an accident it breaks your mother's and my heart!
Today was my last day of vacation before starting back up at work. Jackie however wasn't so lucky, and therefore I had the "pleasure" of watching Blondie on my own. The problem is that our neighbour runs a daycare, and when there's kids, there's a barking dog who wants to play.
I wrote a post on July 27th, stating some goals I had for the rest of 2010. As I look back on them, I realize some big ticket items were missed. Either way, here's a recap of where I stand today, and what goals I have for 2011.
This past summer I bought a hybrid bike to take on long trails and do some city riding as well. While the shot I'm posting actually isn't of me on my own bike, it's one of my favourites from a little stunt park I found with a friend on a trail in Newmarket.
In an attempt to try and actually post something more often, I've decided to attempt the 365 photo challenge. Every day I'll upload a photo I like, and sometimes even provide a blurb as to it's meaning. This should be on top of my regular blogging, so I guess you could say you may see 370 posts in 2011!
